We’re so desperate for the next Steve Jobs. He may not even be born yet. Bezos will be known in his obituary someday for killing the retail model as we know it. Jobs and his team re-envisioned it, for now. Jobs created a monster in the iPad, Bezos made a less expensive imitation in the Kindle Fire. (notice, I didn’t say “cheap”). Bezos is a logistics master and once he can get us products in less than 8 hours, he will dominate all retail sales. Amazon and UPS will grow like crazy. Day-of delivery. As for the competition, we all know FedEx certainly can’t handle a pressure situation.
